28 Jan DTLA Insider Tip #2 from Downtown Muse
If you want to rent a loft in the Arts District, consider other options first since there is limited supply of such housing. Check out one of the local “gated communities” — Savoy, MURA, or Artisan on Second. If price is a factor, consider temporary month-to-month residential lodging like the Sogo Residence or American Hotel. Either way, once you are here, you may stumble upon one of the rare vacancies in the dozen or so “artist-in-residence” original loft buildings located in the vicinity (i.e., these typically are larger and more industrial than the newer “live-work” versions elsewhere in Downtown Los Angeles; for the latter, click HERE).
