16 Apr GO! Arts District Co-Op Celebrates 1st Year with Three Days of Events!
Celebrate the first year of the Arts District Co-Op (formerly known as Arts District Flea). Just a short block west of Urth Caffe, the community-oriented market offers an eclectic mix of retail concepts and is owned by local business owner Kevin Chen under management by photographer Michael Hope.
In its large industrial warehouse, the Arts District Co-Op offers a unique communal shopping experience with its current selection of 20 pop-up shops by local artists, makers, crafters, and designers who offer new and vintage items for sale (the 15,000 sq.ft. space with 14.5′ ceilings has capacity for up to 60 vendors total).
Starting tonight, the Arts District Co-Op kicks off additional activities to supplement its regular shopping experience. This evening’s special event is hosted by GEN ART, a night of fashion, art, and film that also features 7pm & 9pm performances by Palaye Royale (RSVP on Facebook). On Friday through Sunday, 10am-8pm, SoCal Etsy Guild expands the market with over 20 additional makers and creators who will be on site throughout the weekend, selling their artisan wares. Additional details for Saturday are below. Admission is always FREE.
